I am delighted to announce that I am now offering reiki sessions and gift certificates.  You can treat your friends, family, or yourself to a relaxing reiki session.

Reiki is a holistic healing practice that promotes overall well-being, reduces stress, and encourages the body's natural healing abilities.

Pricing structure for sessions/gift certificates through 2023:

$65 each (comes with your choice of one complementary oracle reading OR 30-minute 1:1 coaching or yoga session

3 sessions for $150 ($50 each)

Simply submit payment for a gift certificate via Venmo, PayPal, or cash and I will email or mail a gift certificate to you.

Please remember that while many people find Reiki to be beneficial, individual experiences can vary, and it may not be suitable for everyone. As always, consult with a healthcare professional for any medical concerns or conditions.

Finding Balance: Introduction to Trauma Informed Yoga

Finding Normal and Gayla Downey of Grateful Heart Yoga invite you to join us for this all skill-level, trauma-informed yoga class designed to help you safely connect to your body through breath and movement.  For ages 16+.

This gentle practice focuses on increasing self-awareness and responding to your body with compassion in a safe, supportive environment. You are encouraged to support your body's needs by moving as little or as much as you like, and choosing which movement variations are most comfortable in your body.

Join us for all-skill-level, gentle, trauma-informed yoga practice for all bodies, regardless of size and shape. For ages 16+

Finding Normal and Gayla Downey firmly believe that yoga is for every body. This gentle yoga flow is designed to meet you where you are, no matter what you shape or size. The use of props allows us to move through yoga postures with more ease and comfort, and by inviting your body as much or as little as you like. you can build a practice of self-compassion, as well.

Hello! My name is Gayla Downey.

In 2018, I discovered yoga and Women for Sobriety (WFS), a program for women seeking recovery from alcohol and substance use disorders, at the beginning of my recovery journey.

What began as building a habit of spending 5 minutes on my yoga mat every morning to connect with breath and movement, has become my passion.

I was desperate to find a way to manage my anxiety, depression, and painful feelings after decades of numbing with drugs and alcohol.

In 2020, I became a Certified Facilitator  for Women for Sobriety, received my 200-Hour yoga certification, began studying to become a SheRecovers®  Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher in 2021, and finished my certification in 2022. In 2023 I completed my Level II Reiki Certification.

I continue to study yoga philosophy, working toward 500-Hour certification, Holistic Coaching, and other healing modalities to learn how to better partner with clients as they move along on their own healing journeys.

On our healing  journey, we have the opportunity to continually practice self-awareness and self-compassion.

Gratitude has been one of my greatest allies on this healing journey.  This grounding practice will help you connect to gratitude.
